Page is in Blog form, so its open ended for additions.
My first Project I will put up to the Membership is:
For the State Fair next year, an entry from the Guild as a whole.
The project is a quilt, with squares crocheted and then assembled. Use thread, size 8, white, and make 'Granny squares' of 12 inches. When we get enough, we sew them on a cotton duvet/topper of a nice color that will accentuate the open lacy work of our crochet. See the Gallery page for ideas of 'squares". Fear not, I volunteer to do the sewing if others fear to tread there. We could have a nice quilt party on a Saturday too...just saying.
If we are adventuresome, parts can be in any size that is even numbered and then its assembled as a lacy crazy quit- also very pretty.
Then...hold a Raffle of a goodly amount for the quilt. I spoke to Becky about putting it in a Raffle at the Fair but I understand that can't be done, but there may be some back door to selling it.
Money to go to ..oh..maybe a bus, or gas, or dinner, or take us to somewhere yarny? That idea can be kicked around.
