July - without all the goodies because I lost them and am lazy...
This month we see the State Fair in all its glory with us right in the middle of it!
Lots of pictures will be put in the gallery, Or somewhere. This months
Newsletter will be changing almost daily as I work on it. So stay tuned!
Business
The Membership Report tallies us up as 53 strong with 24 in attendance for July.
We have money in the bank- New account at Schools Financial Credit Union.
The By-Laws have been found in their dusty tomb and the ossifers will be doing the
archeological dig to expose their secrets and bring them up to date. We will be
getting the update and voting on the passing in the future. I assume that the
Law that we park our Model T's only in the back will be tossed.....
Woot! The Newsletter is in the News! I hope that all the snoring I heard was
really a tree cutter outside and more people will actually come visit and make
posts!
Becky tossed out the old and rang in the new with us getting to the good stuff first
in the meeting. And that's the way it is...
And we actually have December now in the line up of meeting here at the library.
Yum! Yum!
Chips and Dip and sweet loafs Oh My! The artichoke dip was presented as a casserole and I wanted a bowl of it! (But I shared). Did get a replay of those
fabulous Lemon and Cinnamon swirl loafs! Must bring coffee..... Thank you
Theresa and Carol. Wilma shared some of her fresh tomatoes from her garden.

Birthdays
July Babies are: Carol G., Maria N., Linae P., Kay P. Hope you all have a
wonderful Birthday with lots of yarn spinning your way!
Monthly Program
Wilma gave up close and personal instruction for Magic ring and chainless crochet.
Thank you Wilma. I'm sure we will need to see it again for the pattern
challenged (I'm not naming myself...but.....)
Visitors
Emma A of the Knitters Club in Sacramento visited us. And Christina.
Raffle
Teresa forgot to bring the Raffle Prize! So it was agreed to divvy up the collected
prize money and split it. Wilma won and she assures all that she is NOT going to
buy another Hairpin lace tool. (Inside joke as she seems to get those in the
Raffles she wins.) $26 collected for the library, split with Wilma.
Next Months Challenge
Our intrepid Challenger, Melinda, was not present, so we have
next month off free of guilt that we didn't at least try to rise to the
Challenge.
One person (Raven) did a Blue Puppy for Puppy Love. I think we
need a class on aminals and the proceeds go to the Comfort Dolls Program! Anyone
want to host a day of doll making?
*wink, wink, nudge nudge*
"I'm sorry, I went to the dark side..."- Holds up knitting project.
"Welcome to the Sinners Club."
Chain Off
My photography skills are sorely lacking, but this project will hone them. ("I
need a camera dear, and my Birthday is coming. Hint Hint") The pictures I and my
husband took are in the gallery, but the lighting made everything yellowish. Oh
well. Room to improve!
